The elective units consist of:

6 units selected from any of the elective groups listed below.

A maximum of two elective units may be substituted with two units of competency from any currently endorsed Training Package or accredited course at AQF Level 5 or 6.

Elective units must be relevant to the work environment and the qualification, maintain the integrity of the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) alignment and contribute to a valid, industry-supported vocational outcome.

Units selected from other Training Packages or accredited courses must not duplicate units selected from or available within the ICT Information and Communications Technology Training Package.

Entry Requirements

Entry to this qualification is limited to those individuals who:

Have completed a Certificate IV in Telecommunications Network Design or its equivalent.

or

Have completed a minimum of three years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in the telecommunications industry with experience in provisioning, evaluation, planning, design, costing and deployment of core networks and access networks.
