Certificate IV in Government (Road Transport Compliance)
This specialist qualification covers the competencies required of road transport regulatory staff. The qualification has 4 separate streams to cater for staff in inspection, access, intelligence and multi-skilled roles.
Electives should be chosen to reflect the responsibilities of the individual and the job skills required for effective performance. Where a free choice of electives is possible in the packaging rules electives may be chosen to reflect the work context and career plans of the individual. Training delivery and assessment related to this qualification must be contextualised to the road transport regulatory environment.

Choose an elective stream first, then follow the packaging rules for that stream:
Inspection stream
Access stream
Intelligence stream
Multi-skilled stream
Elective units selected from other Training Packages or accredited courses must not duplicate units selected from or available within PSP12 Public Sector Training Package.
15 units of competency are required for this stream:
3 core units, and
All 3 inspection stream units shown below, and
1 unit from Group A Safety, and
2 units from Group B Inspection stream (road transport compliance), and
2 units from Group C Inspection stream (regulatory), and
4 units from Group B, C or D Inspection (general) or from anywhere within this Training Package, or from another endorse Training Package or accredited course at this qualification level or higher, expect as stated**.

2. Access stream
15 units of competency are required for this stream:
3 core units, and
All 4 access stream units shown below, and
1 unit from Group A Safety electives, and
7 units from Group E Access stream or from anywhere within this Training Package, or from another endorse Training Package or accredited course at this qualification level or higher, unless otherwise stated**.

3. Intelligence stream
15 units of competency are required for this stream:
3 core units, and
all 4 intelligence stream units shown below, and
1 unit from Group A Safety, and
7 units from Group F Intelligence, alternatively, up to 4 units may be taken from anywhere within this Training Package, or from another endorse Training Package or accredited course at this qualification level or higher, unless otherwise stated**.

4. Multi-skilled stream
15 units of competency are required for this stream including:
3 core units, and
all 2 units listed below, and
1 unit from Group A Safety, and
9 units from Group G Multi-skilled, alternatively, up to 3 electives may be taken from anywhere within this Training Package, or from another endorse Training Package or accredited course at this qualification level or higher, unless otherwise stated**.
