Requirements for completion of the qualification
The following provides the packaging rules for this qualification, followed by the list of relevant units of competency.
Successful completion of twelve (12) units of competency made up of:
seven (7) core units, and
five (5) elective units of which:
one (1) must be chosen from group A
at least three (3) must be chosen from group B
up to two (2) units may be chosen from Certificate II or Certificate III in this, or any other Training Package or accredited course.
Units chosen must be relevant to the job function.
There are no prerequisites to imported units listed in this qualification. Where a unit is imported as an elective care must be taken to ensure that all prerequisites specified are complied with.

Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
Conduct local risk control
Perform well servicing rig floor operations
Carry out well servicing rig lease operations
Carry out operational maintenance
Identify and minimise environmental hazards
Identify and assess environmental and heritage concerns
Work in accordance with issued permit
Prepare equipment for well servicing air operations
Assist with air drilling
Support Blow Out Prevention (BOP) operations
Assist with coal seam gas control
Provide First Aid
Work safely at heights
Gas test atmospheres
Assist mud rotary drilling
