The following provides the packaging rules for this qualification, followed by the list of relevant units of competency.
Total number of units = 14
4 core units plus
10 elective units, of which:
four (4) units must be chosen from Group A listed below;
occupational stream 1 - three (3) units must be chosen from any currently endorsed qualification;
occupational stream 2 - three (3) units must be chosen from any currently endorsed qualification.
Two different industry sectors must be chosen for occupational streams 1 and 2. Each industry sector must reflect the characteristics described in the Qualification Description.
Units selected for Group A must reflect industry needs of both occupational streams.
Units selected for both occupational streams must reflect current occupational and learning outcomes of this AQF qualification level; and, be directly applicable to industry defined outcomes for each of the industry sectors chosen.
There are both licensed and non-licensed units of competency relating to high risk work. To be appointed under any statutory requirements in related roles, units of competency should be selected to meet the state/territory requirements.
