These competencies from the MEA Aeroskills Training Package meet the requirements for the grant of an A4 licence to individuals who hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical).

Audience

Individuals with Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) seeking the grant of an A4 licence. Note that requirements may vary according to the elective units taken for the Certificate IV.

The LME069 Units of competency for A4 licence if Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) is held consists of:

Perform administrative processes to prepare for certification of civil aircraft A level line maintenance

Use electrical test equipment to perform basic electrical tests (Not required if elective add topic MEA260 is held)

Remove and install aircraft electrical/avionic components during line maintenance

Remove and install general aircraft electrical hardware (Not required if elective add topic MEA201 is held)

Remove and install aircraft components (Not required if electives add topic MEA301 , MEA302 , MEA308 and either MEA304 or MEA317 are held)
