  • Installation instructions and work plans are identified and confirmed with appropriate personnel and installation requirements are determined
  • Parts, plant and equipment required for installation are obtained according to workplace procedures and within scope of responsibilities
  • Workplace procedures for installing vehicle plant, equipment and systems are identified
  • Work site is prepared according to installation plan and requirements of the manufacturer of the component parts, plant and equipment
  • Compliance of prepared work site with design drawings, work specifications, and work health and safety (WHS) requirements is determined
       
Element: Conduct installation
  • Pre-installation of parts, plant, equipment, fixtures and additional low voltage wiring is completed according to the installation plan and work specifications
  • Parts, plant, equipment, fixtures and additional low voltage wiring are installed according to installation plan and work specifications
  • Parts, plant, equipment, fixtures and additional low voltage wiring installations are checked against technical and safety requirements
       
Element: Finalise installation
  • Installation is checked against design specifications, workplace quality standards, manufacturer instructions and WHS requirements
  • Installation faults are reported and rectified according to workplace procedures
  • Installation reports are completed according to workplace procedures
