Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the performance outcomes required to analyse a test vehicle or prototype vehicle for the purpose of testing the vehicle and its components.It applies to those in an automotive and related component manufacturing environment.Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements may apply to this unit in some jurisdictions. Users are advised to check with the relevant regulatory authority.

Element: Prepare vehicle
  • Workplace procedures are identified and followed
  • Research objectives, work plans and check lists are identified for test
  • Instructions and analysisparameters are interpreted
  • Vehicle system and component monitoring and testing equipment are installed and checked for operation according to workplace and manufacturer procedures
  • Vehicle is checked for safe and correct operation within the parameters of the test plan
