  • Job requirements and specifications are identified from work order and drawings
  • Cutting equipment is selected and inspected for safe operation, and faults are identified
  • Cutting equipment is set and adjusted for use, according to material type and job specifications
  • Cutting list is identified from work plan, and cutting processes are planned to ensure minimal waste

  • Personal protective equipment is identified and used according to workplace procedures
  • Equipment safety stops and guards are checked and adjusted if necessary
  • Equipment is operated according to manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures
  • Material is cut and inspected according to job specifications
  • Cutting defects are identified and corrective actions taken
