Employability Skills
Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to respond effectively to behaviours of concern of people. Skills are associated with handling difficult incidents rather than managing ongoing behaviour difficulties.The unit applies to workers in any context exposed to difficult and challenging behaviour.The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.

  • Ensure planned responses to behaviours of concern maximise the availability of other appropriate staff and resources

  • Seek assistance as required
