Learning Outcomes and Application This unit of competency describes the skills and knowledge required to function independently and to plan and undertake community work and associated services.The unit describes the application of knowledge of the broad social and cultural context in which work is planned and implemented in the community services industry.This unit applies to workers who seek to better understand their client groups and issues that impact on the lives of their clients and hence on their delivery of services.The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.

  • Review effectiveness of work undertaken and/or services provided to clients, in relation to identified social and cultural factors impacting on clients, groups or communities
  • If required, revise aspects of work undertaken and/or services provided to better address social and cultural issues and enhance outcomes for clients, groups or communities
