Learning Outcomes and Application This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to minimise health, safety and security risks to self, other people, property and information while providing home sustainability assessment services.The unit supports the work of home sustainability assessors engaged in home sustainability assessment services.No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency at the time of endorsement.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.

The following must be present and available to learners during assessment activities:

three residential buildings

householders of buildings in which home sustainability assessment is being undertaken

relationships with team members and supervisor:

assessment activities are performed on an individual basis under general supervision.

Assessor requirements

As a minimum, assessors must satisfy the assessor requirements in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) current at the time of assessment.

A person demonstrating competency in this unit must satisfy the requirements of the elements, performance criteria, foundation skills and range of conditions of this unit.

The person must also apply procedures for identifying and minimising the health, safety and security risks to self, other people, property and information while undertaking three different home sustainability assessments.

While providing the above home sustainability assessment services, the person must apply knowledge of legislative requirements.
