Learning Outcomes and Application This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to estimate the cost of swimming pool and spa products and services. It includes confirming customer requirements, sourcing and analysing information on swimming pool and spa products and services to determine cost, and presenting the cost to clients.The unit supports the work of those engaged in estimating the cost of swimming pool and spa products and services. It applies to swimming pool and spa technicians and those involved in selling swimming pool and spa products and services.No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency at the time of endorsement.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.

Assessor requirements

As a minimum, assessors must satisfy the assessor requirements in the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) current at the time of assessment.

A person demonstrating competency in this unit must satisfy the requirements of the elements, performance criteria, foundation skills and range of conditions of this unit.

The person must also estimate the cost of swimming pool and spa products and services requested by two different customers.

In doing the above, the person must:

research information on the cost of swimming pool and spa products and services

prepare an estimate of the cost of swimming pool and spa products and services

present and explain the estimated cost to clients.
