Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to create choreography for stage and screen productions and to synchronise dance with stage and screen sequences.Choreographers apply the skills and knowledge outlined in this unit as they collaborate with a wide range of creative and technical personnel to create choreography that enhances the storyline or mood of stage and screen productions. Choreography could incorporate any dance style or combination of dance styles, as well as other artistic forms, such as singing and acting.At this level, choreographers display, within a collaborative environment, a high level of autonomy, motivation and judgement as they take responsibility for the quality of the final choreography.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in creative arts industry environments. The assessment environment must include access to: a space with suitable flooring, sets and props suitable equipment and resources for the choreographed piece suitable costuming, make-up and hair equipment and supplies. Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational educational and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards. |
