Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to independently conceive a coherent body of creative work at a professional level. The unit involves experimenting with ideas to evolve own ideas and approaches, refining and developing concepts and techniques in artistic practice, and planning and managing own creative project through to finished product. It also involves engaging with peers and industry networks in ways that develop and confirm own place as an arts professional.It applies to individuals who have a highly developed command of materials, process and techniques in any creative form.No licensing, legislative or certification conditions apply to this unit at the time of publication.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.

Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in creative arts industry environments. The assessment environment must include access to:

suitable work space

tools, equipment and materials for producing a body of creative work.

Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational educational and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards.

explain work health and safety procedures required in relation to the chosen creative form.
