Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to prepare props for use in a range of productions in the film, television, entertainment and interactive media industries. It applies to individuals who work as a member of a team with responsibility for care and maintenance of props for productions. They need to use a range of hand and power tools proficiently to perform their role. Individuals in this position are generally supervised by a props manager or supervisor.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Assessment must be conducted in a safe environment where evidence gathered demonstrates consistent performance of typical activities experienced in creative arts industry environments. The assessment environment must include access to: tools, equipment and materials required to conduct repair and maintenance tasks a range of props. Assessors of this unit must satisfy the requirements for assessors in applicable vocational educational and training legislation, frameworks and/or standards. |
