Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the outcomes required to continually monitor and assess the potential for fire during normal work activities. The unit includes implementing basic fire prevention measures.The unit applies to those working in a range of job roles across the forestry and forest products industry. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. The following resources must be made available: policies and procedures for fire prevention fire evacuation plans fire extinguishers and fire retardants personal protective equipment. Competency is to be assessed in the workplace or a simulated environment that accurately reflects performance in a real workplace setting. Assessor requirements Assessors must: hold the appropriate assessor competency standards as outlined in regulations; and be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level being assessed; and be able to demonstrate how they are continuing to develop their VET knowledge and skills as well as maintaining their industry currency and assessor competence. |
