Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the outcomes required to prepare and dress boards and timber. The unit includes evaluating and monitoring dressing conditions and processes; and setting, adjusting and maintaining equipment. Work is completed in a forest products factory setting.The unit applies to Sawmill Worker, Production Worker, Timber Products Worker. No licensing, legislative, regulatory, or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.

Assessor requirements

Assessors must:

hold the appropriate assessor competency standards as outlined in regulations; and

be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level being assessed; and

A person demonstrating competency in this unit must satisfy all of the elements, performance criteria and foundation skills of this unit.
