Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit of competency describes the outcomes required to plan and manage the installation and commissioning of equipment to ensure compliance with budgetary, legal and contractual requirements.The unit applies to managers or supervisors of timber manufacturing facilities where acquisition of new equipment is required to update or extend existing production targets.Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit but may differ according to state or territory jurisdiction. Refer to state or territory licensing body. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. The following resources must be made available: computers, keyboards, printers and software used to document plans and reports comprehensive information about the equipment to be commissioned and installed to determine plans and testing requirements budgets for installation and commissioning of equipment supplier contracts template in-house maintenance specifications for equipment template plans for installation and commissioning of equipment organisational procedures for documenting plans and reports. Competency is to be assessed in the workplace or a simulated environment that accurately reflects performance in a real workplace setting. Assessor requirements Assessors must: hold the appropriate assessor competency standards as outlined in regulations; and be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level being assessed; and be able to demonstrate how they are continuing to develop their VET knowledge and skills as well as maintaining their industry currency and assessor competence. |
