Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the knowledge and skills required to implement specialised procedures necessary to overcome major obstacles and to provide safe access and egress at the scene of an incident. The unit requires an individual to respond to situations that stretch resources and ingenuity beyond the requirements of routine procedures and may require use of specialised equipment.This unit applies to pre-hospital/out-of-hospital health care workers.The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand Standards and industry codes of practice. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Skills and knowledge must be demonstrated in a workplace or in a simulated environment that reflects workplace conditions. Where simulation is used, it must reflect real working conditions by modelling industry operating conditions and contingencies, as well as using suitable facilities, equipment and resources. Assessors must satisfy the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015/AQTF mandatory competency requirements for assessors. |
