Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to develop a plan which sets out the roles and responsibilities of workers and others in the community, for responding to a disaster. This plan will be developed in consultation with other relevant agencies and key people.This unit applies to work in a public health context and workers at this level are required to apply judgement within broad guidelines and take responsibility for their own outputs. Workers may be responsible for overseeing the outputs of others.The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian/New Zealand standards and industry codes of practice. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Skills must have been demonstrated in the workplace or in a simulated environment that reflects workplace conditions. Where simulation is used, it must reflect real working conditions by modelling industry operating conditions and contingencies as well as using suitable facilities, equipment and resources. Assessors must satisfy the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015/AQTF mandatory competency requirements for assessors. |
