Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to establish backup and recovery procedures, in accordance with organisational requirements, and consistent with the database architecture.It applies to individuals who are technical support personnel, such as help-desk supervisors, information and communications technology (ICT) support technicians, database support technicians and user-support specialists.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | ||
Duration and Setting | X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting. Gather evidence to demonstrate consistent performance in conditions that are safe and replicate the workplace. Noise levels, production flow, interruptions and time variances must be typical of those experienced in the database field of work, and include access to: equipment and materials documentation standards backup and recovery policies sites with a representative range of current industry standard software and diagnostic tools database package with data technical records organisational guidelines vendor documentation the server, and a networked personal computer, on which to conduct the backup and restore procedures.
