Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform basic tasks using a presentation application package, and includes creating, formatting and adding effects to presentations.It applies to individuals employed in a range of work environments who need to be able to present a set range of data in a simple and direct format.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

  • Open presentation package and create a simple design for a presentation according to organisational requirements
  • Open blank presentation and add text and graphics
  • Apply existing styles within a presentation
  • Use presentation template and slides to create a presentation
  • Use various tools to improve the look of the presentation
  • Save presentation to the appropriate storage device and folder

  • Use and incorporate organisational charts and bulleted lists, and modify as required

  • Modify slide layout, including text and colours, to meet presentation requirements
  • Use formatting tools as required within the presentation
  • Duplicate slides within and across a presentation
  • Reorder sequence of slides and delete slides for presentation purposes
