Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the skills required to undertake road transport regulation in both operational and office environments. It includes maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the road transport industry and the regulatory framework for road transport compliance, in order to develop industry relationships and operate effectively within the industry on behalf of road transport regulator/s.This unit applies to those working in road transport regulatory roles who undertake a diverse range of duties that contribute to the enforcement of road transport legislation and related requirements. The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.Those undertaking this unit would work independently in consultation with others, performing complex tasks in a range of contexts.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to unit at the time of publication.
