Employability Skills
Learning Outcomes and Application This unit describes the skills required to provide vehicle technical advice in response to enquiries from police, other agencies and the general public or for court proceedings or coronial enquiries. It includes interpreting detailed vehicle inspection data and forming and providing an opinion based on the analysis of that data. Opinions and advice may be sought by and provided to the police, other agencies, coroners or the courts.This unit applies to those working in road transport regulatory roles who have technical expertise. The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.Those undertaking this unit would work autonomously, consulting others as required, performing complex tasks in a range of contexts.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to unit at the time of publication.
Duration and Setting X weeks, nominally xx hours, delivered in a classroom/online/blended learning setting.
