Learning Outcomes and Application | This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to operate a motive power system by a portable remote control unit in accordance with safeworking and manufacturer instructions, and organisational procedures.It includes preparing a locomotive, setting up portable remote control equipment, operating the system after set up is complete and shutting it down after operation.This equipment is used to control a locomotive remotely when loading, unloading and/or shunting trains within defined limits, terminals, yards or sidings.No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication. | |||
