1. Plan and prepare

1.1 Job instructions and quality requirements are located and confirmed with appropriate personnel

1.2 Tools and equipment required for the job are selected and checked for faults and correct operation

1.3 Materials required to complete the job are identified and prepared

2. Select and check machining tools

2.1 Machining tools are selected according to the machine’s maintenance schedule and specifications

2.2 Machining tools are inspected and tested for compliance with specifications

2.3 Out-of-specification tools are processed for repair or disposal according to workplace procedures

3. Remove and replace machining tools
