This unit describes the performance outcomes required to locate, interpret and apply Australian Design Rules (ADR), original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) regulations, and Vehicle Standards Bulletin 6 (VSB6) National Code of Practice - Heavy Vehicle Modifications.

It applies to those working in the commercial vehicle industry, and involves the application of skills and knowledge at a specialist level.

1.1 Heavy vehicle modification standards are identified

2. Check that vehicle complies with standards

2.1 Workplace manufacturing or modification drawings are checked against VSB6 requirements for compliance

3. Complete documentation
