Application
This unit of competency was written by Defence where an adverse environment typically involves threats and armed conflict. However the unit has been written in a generic manner so that it is applicable to logistics personnel who have a responsibility to organise and manage the delivery of logistic support in an adverse environment.
The application of this unit in the workplace includes identifying and analysing the adverse circumstances within a logistics operating environment and implementing strategies to minimise exposure to these circumstances or the consequences posed by such circumstances.
This unit of competency is applicable to logistics elements that may be comprised of a range of capabilities from different disciplines including road transport, supply, maintenance, catering or health.
