1.1 Review and check work order with relevant personnel.

1.2 Identify hazards and control risk according to site procedures.

1.3 Retrieve type and quantity of profiles to be sanded from the production process.

1.4 Check equipment for operational effectiveness in line with manufacturer's recommendations, using an inspection checklist.

1.5 Plan sanding process in line with site procedures.

1.6 Communicate plan with relevant personnel according to site procedures.

2. Sand profiles and report faults.

2.1 Set sanding profile and feed rate for optimal smoothing of product and adjust to suit varying products.

2.2 Perform profile sanding in line with site requirements.

2.3 Regularly check and clean dust extraction equipment to avoid blockages.

2.4 Visually assess product quality to ensure specified outcome has been achieved.

2.5 Remove and replace worn sanding medium as required.

2.6 Reject and dispose of products with sanding defects in line with site procedures and environmental requirements.

2.7 Record and report sanding process and equipment faults to appropriate personnel.

3. Grade and distribute products and clean up.
