This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to use the internet as a resource to acquire knowledge and skills to meet client requirements.

It applies to individuals who use the internet to maintain currency of workplace skills.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Evidence of Performance

Evidence of the ability to:

Evidence of Knowledge

To complete the unit requirements safely and effectively, the individual must:

outline the current and future industry trends

identify and describe relevant legislation and statutory requirements

describe organisational training policies, plans and procedures

identify and apply a range of online training tools

explain the principles and techniques of measuring performance and self-assessment

identify methods to recognise and prioritise required learning needs

describe the systems and processes used to direct learning

identify relevant competency standards and assessment relative to learning needs.


Assessment Conditions

Gather evidence to demonstrate consistent performance in conditions that are safe and replicate the workplace. Noise levels, production flow, interruptions and time variances must be typical of those experienced in the general information and communications technology (ICT) industry, and include access to the internet to use online learning tools.

Assessors must satisfy NVR/AQTF assessor requirements.
