Program and monitor commercial laundry machine control systems

This unit covers the skills and knowledge needed to program electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic process control systems which control multiple commercial laundry machines and equipment.

Application

This unit applies to programming, operating and controlling commercial laundry equipment.

Work may be conducted in small to large scale enterprises and may involve individual and team activities. Work is performed within defined procedures under direct supervision.

This unit is applied according to OHS and workplace practices of the enterprise, which may include:

requirements prescribed by legislation, awards, agreements and conditions of employment

This unit requires the application of skills associated with planning and organising to program and monitor machine control system. This unit also requires an ability to interpret, apply and document process information. Problem solving will be used to identify and address non compliance with specifications.

2.3 Data entry is confirmed, accurate and correct

2.4 Program is stepped through manually, if appropriate

3 Monitor operation of machine control system

3.1 Process is ran and checked for correct operation and compliance with specifications
