Elements and Performance Criteria

1. Plan and prepare for rig lease operations

1.1. Access, interpret and apply Carry out rig lease operations documentation and ensure the work activity is compliant

1.2. Obtain, read, interpret, clarify and confirm work requirements

1.3. Identify, address and report potential hazards, risks and environmental issues and implement control measures

1.4. Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate to the work activities

1.5. Adhere to coordination requirements with others at the site prior to, during and on completion of work activities and ensure briefings/handover details are communicated

1.6. Place and tier tubulures in appropriate racks

1.7. Measure, label and record tubulures

1.8. Operate front end loader in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications

2. Operate pneumatic and electric power tools

2.1. Operate pneumatic and electric power tools

2.2. Identify faults with equipment and repair or report to relevant personnel

3. Assist drill crew in running and recovery of BOP stack

3.1. Assist operator of air tugger winches as directed

3.2. Assist in positioning blow out prevention BOP

3.3. Assist crew by supplying tools to the drill floor as required

4. Provide labour for loading and unloading transport

4.1. Use approved safety approach

4.2. Use correct lifting techniques and operate forklift

5. Provide labour for making up drilling mud

5.1. Access and interpret safety data sheet

5.2. Lift sack material correctly

5.3. Use safety equipment correctly in event of personal contact with hazardous materials
