This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to move and transfer coffins and caskets from one location to another according to OHS procedures, relevant legislation and workplace policies and procedures.

Assessment must ensure:

demonstration of skills within and between funeral services facilities, such as funeral homes, cemeteries and crematoria, where coffins and caskets are moved and transferred

access to coffins and caskets

access to transfer equipment and funeral transfer vehicle

access to relevant documentation for a range of transfer requirements, such as transfer arrangements, maps and directions.
