UNIT DESCRIPTOR:This unit involves the seamanship skills, knowledge and techniques required when assisting in routine deck, rigging and lifting operations and using associated equipment in accordance with safe working practices as part of the duties of a General Purpose Hand on a commercial vessel of less than 80 metres in length

Application

The unit has application in qualifications for a General Purpose Hand, (i.e.Certificate I in Transport&Distribution (Maritime Operations).
