Tips for gathering evidence to demonstrate your skills

The important thing to remember when gathering evidence is that the more evidence the better - that is, the more evidence you gather to demonstrate your skills, the more confident an assessor can be that you have learned the skills not just at one point in time, but are continuing to apply and develop those skills (as opposed to just learning for the test!). Furthermore, one piece of evidence that you collect will not usualy demonstrate all the required criteria for a unit of competency, whereas multiple overlapping pieces of evidence will usually do the trick!

PPMCPP210 - Monitor and control coated paper processes

What evidence can you provide to prove your understanding of each of the following citeria?

Monitor and maintain process

  1. Check production requirements at start of shift and plan daily work activities in line with organisational safety and standard operating procedures.
  2. Confirm operational status by inspection, observation and other information.
  3. Maintain process supplies to meet production requirements.
  4. Monitor process to ensure coating system operations are within specification.
  5. Identify, rectify or report routine variations from specification.
  6. Monitor and maintain process levels to maintain productivity requirements.
  7. Complete routine preventative maintenance in line with maintenance schedules.
