1.3. Artificial insemination program is followed according to enterprise standard operating procedures.

2. Inseminate pigs

2.1. Pigs are handled in a way that minimises stress.

2.2. Pigs are prepared for artificial insemination.

2.3. Suitable personal protective equipment is selected, used and maintained according to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and enterprise requirements.

2.4. Pigs are inseminated at the correct stage of oestrus cycle.

3. Clean work area and equipment

3.1. Waste is disposed of according to recommended hygiene standards and environmental policy.

3.2. Work area is cleaned to industry standards and returned to operating order.

4. Document and record data

4.1. Data on insemination process is accurate and recorded according to enterprise requirements.
