Unit Description

Assessment Tool
an assessor resource that builds a framework for writing an assessment tool
Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

Performance criteria describe the performance needed to demonstrate achievement of the element.

1. Maintain a physical conditioning program

1.1 In consultation with relevant personnel, identify a range of techniques to prevent injuries and improve stamina, strength and flexibility

1.2 Set realistic physical conditioning goals aimed at improving own dance technique

1.3 Identify risk factors that may inhibit the achievement of goals and seek professional advice as required

1.4 Take fatigue and personal limitations into account when undertaking physical conditioning program

1.5 Observe safe dance practice by performing physical warm-up and warm-down activities in conjunction with dance and exercise activities

1.6 Perform vocal warm-up procedures in conjunction with vocal activities

1.7 Ensure that clothing and footwear are appropriate for exercise regime and for practising performance technique

2. Use practice sessions to increase level of expertise in dance techniques

2.1 Demonstrate correct posture and body alignment appropriate to musical theatre style and movements
