Unit Description

Assessment Tool
an assessor resource that builds a framework for writing an assessment tool
Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

Competency Mapping Template

Observation Checklist

Self Assessment Survey
A form for students to assess thier current skill levels against each of the unit's performance criteria. Cut and paste into a web document or print and distribute in hard copy.
Moodle Outcomes
Create a csv file of the unit's performance criteria to import into a moodle course as outcomes, ready to associate with each of your assignments. Here's a quick 'how to' for importing these into moodle 2.x

Performance Criteria

Performance criteria describe the performance needed to demonstrate achievement of the element.

1. Prepare for scenic art work

1.1 Confirm scenic art requirements with relevant personnel and with reference to set plans

1.2 Discuss desired scenic art effects and reach agreement on techniques that best meet requirements

1.3 Select materials, tools and equipment to support techniques

1.4 Calculate quantities of required materials, avoiding waste where possible

1.5 Take account of requirements for hazardous items when preparing equipment and materials

1.6 Organise work space in a manner that maximises efficiency for the painting process

1.7 Test and mix colours to meet production requirements

2. Make scenic art

2.1 Apply a range of scenic art painting techniques to achieve the desired effects for scenic art elements

2.2 Follow safety procedures throughout the painting process according to organisational requirements

2.3 Work cooperatively with team members to ensure quality of scenic art and timely completion of work

3. Complete scenic art painting activities

3.1 Seek feedback on work in progress and adjust techniques and approach as required

3.2 Promptly identify problems and take action within scope of own responsibility

3.3 Complete workplace documentation as required
