Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

Observation Checklist

A form for students to assess thier current skill levels against each of the unit's performance criteria. Cut and paste into a web document or print and distribute in hard copy.
Moodle Outcomes

Elements and Performance Criteria



1. Recognise a confined space

1.1 Personal protective equipment (PPE) required to identify a confined space is donned.

1.2 Nature of the possible work space and its characteristics are reviewed.

1.3 Possible work space is assessed for its potential to be a confined space.

1.4 Precautions to be taken in the presence of a harmful atmosphere are determined in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.

1.5 Other hazards and factors associated with the possible work space are identified and assessed to determine the level of risk associated with that space.

1.6 Where uncertainty exists about the possible work space’s confined space potential, identification is referred to appropriate personnel/authority for further investigation and analysis in accordance with organisational procedures.

1.7 Safety of possible work space is confirmed.

2. Carry out appropriate action after identifying a confined space

2.1 Organisational instructions are reviewed for the appropriate action in relation to work activities involving confined spaces.

2.2 Potential work health and safety (WHS) issues are identified and documented.

2.3 Risk assessment is undertaken, documented and revised whenever there is evidence to indicate that it is no longer valid.

2.4 Broad limitations the confined space may impose on work practices are documented.
