Unit Description

Assessment Tool

Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

1. Using prescriptions or scoping descriptions determine the client requirements for environmental control

1.1 Consider prescription/scoping description and confirm all the required information has been provided.

1.2 Discuss and agree upon installation requirements with clients and (where relevant) other appropriate professionals.

2. Select appropriate user interfaces, control systems and effectors

2.1 Manufacture, assemble and/or modify an appropriate system to meet client requirements

2.2 Assess the environmental control system for operational competency

2.3 Document specifications for modification, installation, operation and maintenance in accordance with organisation policies and procedures

3. Install environmental control systems

3.1 Select appropriate system and components for installation and/or medication of the environmental control systems

3.2 Specify and implement arrangements for alterations to services and the built environment to facilitate installation of the EC system where appropriate

3.3 Install environmental control system using hand tools and/or machinery in accordance with OHS requirements, relevant standards and manufacturer's specifications

3.4 Arrange a trial of the system with the client in accordance with organisation policies and procedures

3,5 Program the control systems to client requirements

3.6 Mount or position user interfaces using appropriate supports

3.7 Provide specified power supply adaptations

4. Maintain environmental control systems

4.1 Diagnose EC, interface and computer faults at user level

4.2 Diagnose EC faults using appropriate diagnostic tools

4.3 Identify EC system faults and rectify at a module level.

5. Maintain accurate records

5.1 Establish and maintain records in accordance with organisation policies and procedures

5.2 Store records in line with organisation policies and procedures
