Assessment Template

Material and equipment requirements are determined and accessed

Any special requirements to complete the embroidery are established

Prepare for machine work

2.1

Embroidery dimensions are determined and appropriate hoop type is selected

Fabric to be embroidered is selected and properties checked for suitability to work requirements

Threadand needle types to be used to create the embroidery are selected and loaded for machine use

Select stabilisers, toppings and backings

3.1

Stabiliser requirements are assessed and stabiliser is selected

The need for additional toppings and backings is established and selected

Stabilisers and fabric and hoop are combined to meet machine recommendations

Stitch the embroidery

4.1

Hoop is mounted onto the machine according to manufacturer recommendations

Fabric is handled appropriately with regards to its properties

Embroidery is stitched and inspected against job specifications

Waste is minimised and disposed of according to environmental guidelines
