Unit Description

Assessment Tool
an assessor resource that builds a framework for writing an assessment tool
Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

2 Analyse order and supply conditions

2.1 Minimum order requirements for suppliers are identified.

2.2 Lead times required for different suppliers are identified and compared.

2.3 Capacity of suppliers to meet order and delivery requirements are investigated and compared.

2.4 Shipping and freight options are identified and compared.

2.5 Supplier business conditions are documented to allow for future reference.

2.6 Communication channels for supplier are confirmed and established for business operation.

3 Compare supply costs

3.1 Capacity of suppliers to meet price and quality requirements are analysed and compared

3.2 Costs, including hidden costs of purchases are identified.

3.3 Costs of purchasing direct from overseas suppliers, contractors or manufacturers are compared to purchasing from local suppliers.

3.4 Payment options offered by suppliers are identified and compared.

4 Order and receive textile materials and resources

4.1 Suppliers are selected for supply of materials and resources based on their ability to meet required specifications and competitiveness.

4.2 Orders are completed and placed with suppliers according to own and supplier business requirements

4.3 Orders are monitored and followed up to ensure that conditions will be met.

4.4 Orders are received and quality and content checked against documentation.

4.5 Invoice is processed for payment.
