Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

Performance criteria describe the performance needed to demonstrate achievement of the element. Where bold italicised text is used, further information is detailed in the range of conditions section.

1. Plan and prepare work

1.1 Conduct risk assessment for environmental safety.

1.2 Determine work requirements and work site from specifications or instructions.

1.3 Prepare work plans using relevant plans, drawings, standards and technical data according to job and safety requirements.

1.4 Select and use electrical safety equipment.

1.5 Check coordination issues, including permission to access third-party sites, isolations and permits to work with relevant personnel.

1.6 Identify, check and prepare materials, equipment and resources required to satisfy job plan.

1.7 Identify basic metering equipment and recognise specifications for operation.

1.8 Select safety equipment and fit and use personal protective equipment.

1.9 Identify yourself to customers and organise arrangements to complete repairs.

2. Read metering equipment

2.1 Report readings outside normal parameters and faulty meters and apply organisational procedures for estimating consumption.

2.2 Collect and report information on the performance of the metering equipment.

3. Install flow control and metering devices

3.1 Apply electrical safety equipment.

3.2 Isolate water flow.

3.3 Install meter or meter replacement.

3.4 Restore water flow and check for leaks and meter operation.

3.5 Remove electrical safety equipment and restore site.

4. Maintain flow control and metering devices

4.1 Carry out routine inspections of flow control and metering facilities in water distribution or wastewater collection systems.

4.2 Carry out preventative maintenance and service of equipment and facilities.

5. Finalise work and complete documentation

5.1 Check, tag and report faulty equipment and tools.

5.2 Store equipment, tools and materials.

5.3 Restore work site.

5.4 Maintain compliance reports and workplace records.

5.5 Record and report activities.
