1.3 Check waste water to be disposed to sewer to ensure it meets all sewer acceptance criteria and take samples for testing and analysis in accordance with disposal requirements and regulations

1.4 Confirm compliance with current trade waste certificate/permit conditions

1.5 Select and fit emergency and personal protective equipment in accordance with work requirements, manufacturers' specifications, company requirements and relevant legislation

1.6 Identify potential risks and hazards to job requirements and manage in accordance with company requirements, OHS and other relevant legislation

1.7 Contact relevant authority and confirm that discharge is received

2 Dispose of waste water to sewer

2.1 Open waste water outlet to allow efficient disposal of waste water to sewer

2.2 Attach flowmeter to record volume discharged

2.3 Check trade waste diversion during operation to ensure satisfactory operating condition in accordance with company requirements and relevant legislation

2.4 Monitor sewer discharge of waste water to ensure smooth flow, and regulate/divert flow to alleviate system backlogs in accordance with company and environmental requirements

2.5 Shut off valve and lock up system at completion of disposal activities, in accordance with company requirements, to ensure that there is no unauthorised leakage of waste water to sewer

2.6 Organise relevant authority to lock, tag and secure outlet

3 Carry out housekeeping

3.1 Clear and reinstate work area to ensure safe and clean work environment

3.2 Keep drainage system free of waste contamination when not in use to prevent contamination of waste water to sewer

3.3 Check drainage system regularly to ensure it is free from blockages, obstructions and leaks in accordance with company, regulatory and manufacturer requirements

4 Document waste water disposal

4.1 Document waste water disposal activities accurately and promptly in accordance with company requirements and relevant legislation
