Unit Description
Reconstruct the unit from the xml and display it as an HTML page.
Assessment Tool
an assessor resource that builds a framework for writing an assessment tool
Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

Observation Checklist

Self Assessment Survey
A form for students to assess thier current skill levels against each of the unit's performance criteria. Cut and paste into a web document or print and distribute in hard copy.
Moodle Outcomes

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

Elements describe the essential outcomes of a unit of competency.

Performance criteria describe the performance needed to demonstrate achievement of the element. Where bold italicised text is used, further information is detailed in the required skills and knowledge section and the range statement. Assessment of performance is to be consistent with the evidence guide.

1. Determine resource capacity and options for use.

1.1. Prepare and document an inventory of resource capacity.

1.2. Undertake research on alternative and optimal use of resources according to organisation strategic plan.

1.3. Determine feasibility of opportunities and options for efficient use of resources against local and organisational constraints and capacities.

1.4. Undertake suitable cost-benefit analysis of each option.

1.5. Prioritise options in consultation with appropriate personnel according to organisational strategic plan.

2. Assess resource availability and current use.

2.1. Identify and analyse relevant data on availability and current use of resources.

2.2. Identify reliable indicators of resource usage to provide measurable data on it.

2.3. Undertake measurement of current resource use.

2.4. Document outcomes and make comparisons of current and potential resource use.

2.5. Identify recommendations for improved use of resources according to the organisational strategic plan.

3. Plan efficient use of resources.

3.1. Apply outcomes of data analysis to develop a plan to promote efficient use of resources.

3.2. Seek contribution to the plan from appropriate personnel.

3.3. Select and document strategies to maximise and prioritise use of resources according to outcomes of cost-benefit analysis.

3.4. Plan resource access and uses according to relevant legislation.

3.5. Establish performance measures to enable effective evaluation of resource usage.

4. Implement strategies to maximise resource usage.

4.1. Apply identified strategies.

4.2. Confirm expenditure is within organisational budgetary parameters and document expenditure.

4.3. Refer requests for additional expenditure outside area of responsibility promptly.

4.4. Inform clients and the community of changes to resource use as required to promote responsible use of resources.

4.5. Implement recommendations for improving the efficient use of resources.

4.6. Promote efficient use of energy and non-sustainable resources and management of waste.

4.7. Take prompt corrective action where actual or potential significant deviations from resource-use plans are likely to have adverse effects.

5. Monitor and review efficiency of resource usage.

5.1. Maintain records of resource use and analyse data to provide measures of usage.

5.2. Provide resource users and other interested parties with opportunities to provide feedback on resource use.

5.3. Apply relevant performance measures and make comparisons with performance objectives to assess effectiveness of resource use.

5.4. Apply information obtained during monitoring and review to suggest changes and modify strategies for efficient resource use.
