Inspect and test train brake operation

Brake leakage test is conducted to ensure compliance with required standards

Modified brake tests are conducted to ensure compliance with required standards

Air continuity test is conducted to ensure train braking system meets functional specifications

Brakes are applied and released to ensure train braking system meets functional specifications

2.5

Hoses and pipe components are inspected for defects requiring repair or replacement

Defects and faults are identified and rolling stock is carded

Deal with identified faults

3.1

Plans and/or procedures for replacement or repair of identified defective components are implemented in accordance with workplace procedures and manufacturers specifications
