Assessment Tool
an assessor resource that builds a framework for writing an assessment tool
Assessment Template
generate a spreadsheet for marking this unit in a classroom environment. Put student names in the top row and check them off as they demonstrate competenece for each of the unit's elements and performance criteria.
Assessment Matrix
a slightly different format than the assessment template. A spreadsheet with unit names, elements and performance criteria in separate columns. Put assessment names in column headings to track which performance criteria each one covers. Good for ensuring that you've covered every one of the performance criteria with your assessment instrument (all assessement tools together).
Wiki Markup
mark up the unit in a wiki markup codes, ready to copy and paste into a wiki page. The output will work in most wikis but is designed to work particularly well as a Wikiversity learning project.

Observation Checklist

Self Assessment Survey
A form for students to assess thier current skill levels against each of the unit's performance criteria. Cut and paste into a web document or print and distribute in hard copy.
Moodle Outcomes
Create a csv file of the unit's performance criteria to import into a moodle course as outcomes, ready to associate with each of your assignments. Here's a quick 'how to' for importing these into moodle 2.x

Prepare for load transfer

1.1

Job hazards are identified and required action is taken to minimise, control or eliminate identified hazards

1.2

Working area is prepared and maintained in accordance with industry standards, codes of practice and workplace operating procedures

1.3

Unsafe work practices and/or faulty equipment are reported in accordance with workplace procedures

1.4

Correct personal protective equipment is identified and worn

Assess lifting requirements

2.1

Work operations plan is examined and lift requirements are identified including job method and sequence, control measures and safety procedures

2.2

Coordination requirements with other site personnel are confirmed

2.3

Load mass, dimensions and centre of gravity are determined

2.4

Appropriate lifting gear/equipment/packing, including slings, ropes, shackles, eye bolts, spreaders is selected from safety charts and safe working load (SWL)/working load limit (WLL) tags, and is assembled and checked for serviceability

2.5

Damaged or worn items are tagged, rejected and reported to appropriate personnel for follow-up action

Secure load

3.1

Lifting/anchorage points are correctly identified

3.2

Lifting gear/equipment/packing is connected to load, and load is secured to lifting device in accordance with workplace and manufacturer specifications, guidelines and regulatory requirements

3.3

Load is lifted, suspended off lifting plane and checked to ensure it is appropriately rigged and secured

3.4

Corrective action is undertaken when preliminary lift assessment reveals unacceptable operational situation

3.5

Tag lines are fixed to load in accordance with work operation plan and/or, in consultation with other personnel, as required due to wind conditions and site hazards/obstacles

Detach load

4.1

Slinging attachments are released from load without injury to personnel or damage to workplace operating procedures

4.2

Damage to load/site is identified and reported in accordance with workplace procedures

4.3

Lifting gear/equipment/packing is maintained and stored in accordance with workplace and manufacturer specifications, guidelines and regulatory requirements
