Nature of the fault is obtained from documentation or from relevant person/s to determine scope of work

Instructions for coordinating work with others are obtained from relevant person/s and applied

Tools, equipment and testing devices required for work are obtained in accordance with workplace procedures and checked for correct operation and safety

Find and repair faults

Workplace risk control measures and workplace procedures are applied

Apparatus is checked and isolated as required in accordance with WHS/OHS requirements and workplace procedures

Fault finding is undertaken methodically applying principles of televisions and circuits using measured and calculated values of apparatus parameters in accordance with manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures

Apparatus components are dismantled, where necessary, and parts stored to protect against loss or damage

Faulty components are rechecked and their fault status confirmed

Repairs are undertaken in accordance with manufacturer instructions and relevant person/s instructions

Apparatus is reassembled and tested for safety and functionality in preparation for return to the customer

Unplanned situations are dealt with safely and with the approval of relevant person/s

Repairs are conducted efficiently without waste of materials, damage to apparatus, the surrounding environment or services applying sustainable energy practices

Complete and report repair activities

3.1

WHS/OHS work completion risk control measures and workplace procedures are followed

Work area is cleaned and made safe in accordance with workplace procedures

Justification is provided for repairs to apparatus in the required format

Work completion reporting is completed and relevant person/s notified in accordance with workplace procedures
