This unit specifies the skills and knowledge required to assist in the operation of the tank fabric collapsible marine (TFCM) system to transfer fuel from ships anchored offshore to shorebased storage facilities.
It includes preparing and receiving a fuel bladder from a suitable marine vessel and issuing fuel from the TCFM system to shorebased operations.
The TCFM system is a flexible fuel storage tank that is installed onto a suitable marine vessel; it is used in the maritime environment where no other facilities exist to transfer fuel from ship to shorebased field fuel installations.
The skills and knowledge described in this unit must be applied within the legislative, regulatory and policy environment in which they are carried out. Organisational policies and procedures must be consulted and adhered to.
Persons undertaking this unit work in a team under supervision and perform routine tasks in familiar contexts.
