- Evaluate the impact of the situation on business operations
- Evaluate immediate impact of situation on business operations

- Liaise and consult with affected parties and stakeholders
- Identify business critical functions that must continue
- Develop plan to maintain business critical operations
- Determine available backup facilities or systems
- Map how business critical functions can be continued using a modified approach
- Evaluate resourcing requirements
- Consider occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements in formation of plan
- Determine need for a communication plan to be developed and implemented and document plan as required
- Communicate plan to stakeholders
- Develop plan to update enterprise systems or information when systems become available
- Evaluate the impact of modified operations on organisational information systems
- Determine resources required to input manually collected data into systems and complete followup action
- Work with stakeholders to consider downstream impacts
- Develop communication plan to ensure all stakeholders are informed on status
- Evaluate organisational performance reports
